This Old-School mentality just doesn't cut it anymore...

If you are a construction professional, you should already know how important it is to stay ahead of the curve when marketing your services In today's digital age. It's more important than ever to have a solid online presence, which is where digital marketing comes in. Whether it's strengthening your social media presence, creating a website or re-branding, digital marketing has many benefits, and you are not utilising it...

Word of mouth is not enough for your business to grow in the right way!

This old-school mentality doesn't cut it in today's ever-expanding digital market. We are all a part of it; some are nailing it, whilst others need assistance to harness it correctly.

Transform you business with the power of digital marketing

Day in and day out, I have conversations with tradespeople that tell me, "word of mouth is good enough for my business", "our customers are happy," "they tell their friends," and "we have enough regular work coming in".

My reply is always the same; it doesn't change:

If you do some work for a customer with 2,000 followers on social media and you have no page, no website or an underwhelming online presence, then sharing your link isn't going to benefit!

But that person with 2,000 followers has an influence outside their usual friend group of, say, 10 to 20 people on average. I would much rather appeal to their online following than their 10-20 mates, and to do this, your company needs to walk the walk and talk the talk, as it were.

Why Brand Identity is important.

This isn't about the steady flow of work!

Although it does assist, this is about opening up your business to a new audience that didn't even know you existed and growing your business the right way.

Don't get me wrong, many people out there are happy to plod along, with their regular customers, with a steady income and stay on the tools until they are in their 70s, and that's absolutely fine. But some want to build an empire, and that's fine too, but understand that you don't get there if you continue ignoring the importance of digital marketing.

Why you shouldn’t use a personal email for business

A close friend of mine is in a trade, and they have an advertising board on a main road near where I live. When asking the question of how much work does that board bring in? There's no knowledge around it.

So you are paying a monthly fee for a board, and you have no idea how many customers come from that board because you don't ask them where they heard of you. The same goes for tradespeople that set up a quick website 5 years ago and are now convinced it does nothing for their business. Like the board, this could be an absolute waste of money. Still, a correctly produced website with regular maintenance will transform your business. The board, on the other hand, not so much.

This is a really familiar situation, even including the friend of mine! People are scared to invest money for anything right now, and that's understandable, but do your research, ask the questions and get the knowledge. Digital marketing can transform your business, and that's a FACT.

What we do, WORKS.
